
Howard Reichman is an entrepreneur, writer, director, creative producer, and story consultant with more than 30 years of experience across film, television, marketing, branded content, and education. A graduate of New York University Tisch School of the Arts, Howard specializes in developing raw intellectual property into compelling emotional narratives for film, television, digital media, and business ventures.
As creator, writer, director, and executive producer of the television pilot Wired City, Howard explored a world where “everyone’s connected, but no one’s connecting,” foreshadowing today’s digitally fragmented culture. The pilot was featured at the New York Television Festival and the Independent Television Festival, and was represented by major Hollywood agency United Talent Agency (UTA).
Howard is wroting, producing, and directing Rock Yard, a feature film produced by Warren Zide, the acclaimed producer behind the American Pie and Final Destination film franchises. The project further established Howard’s ability to develop commercially viable, emotionally engaging entertainment with mainstream audience appeal.
His work spans projects for MTV, CBS News Productions, DreamWorks, Citigroup, Tommy Hilfiger, Variety.com, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, as well as numerous startups, product launches, and brand campaigns. Howard has pitched projects to major studios, streamers, and technology companies including Apple, Amazon, and Netflix, and has optioned multiple properties for film and television development.
Howard is the co-founder of EssayDog and Plot Control, and a co-creator of WritersRoom Pro, a collaborative story development platform used by television writers’ rooms, producers, and creative teams around the world to organize seasons, episodes, character arcs, and story development in real time. Designed to replicate and streamline the workflow of professional television writers’ rooms, WritersRoom Pro has become an important tool for both in-person and remote creative collaboration. Plot Control has helped more than 12,000 screenwriters worldwide develop their scripts, while EssayDog has helped students earn more than $3.7 million in scholarships in the past year alone.
Today, Howard consults with private clients, filmmakers, entrepreneurs, and organizations on story development, production strategy, messaging, and narrative design. His specialty is identifying the emotional core of a story and shaping it into compelling content that resonates with audiences across film, television, marketing, education, and digital platforms. Howard continues to actively seek and develop original intellectual property for feature films, television, short-form content, podcasts, and emerging digital media, with a focus on projects that deliver authentic emotional experiences and strong commercial potential.
